Flew into AMS, but we're laying over in The Hague.

The Hague has loads of great walking trails throughout the city:

Lots and LOTS of bicycles. In fact, the hotel we stay at will issue you one for free (you can't keep it... cheap pilots for even asking... geez! ;))

Everything is well-manicured and orderly:

Ok, so I'm a dork. As I'm walking down the "walking street" with shops, I keep hearing water and didn't realize we were this close to the beach:

Mmm.... Dutch ribs and a Heinekin! And uhh, yeah, mayo goes great with fries.

And these lovely ladies served it! Ladies, ladies, ladies!

777 guys are so smart! ;) Thanks man, saved me a trip to The Wiki!

I know you were in tha Hague but in Amsterdam thy have these FABO machines which after a night of drinking are a perfect cure. :) It may seem gross to eat fried food from a machine but trust me it is yummy good (as long as you had a few drinks).

I think you mean FEBO, but yeah nothing like a deep fried croquette (sausage) to fill up your belly.

good stuff as always Doug. Parents enjoyed the flight. I told them to say hi if they saw you. My brother says they can't stop talking about how much they enjoyed business class :-P Bout time I got them to nonrev somewhere. :-P

I went back and had a great conversation with them, so did the other FO and I have to say that you've got some very cool parents! They're very proud of you, excited about the opportunities and are all around great people!

Keep up the good work Screamin'!

Great pics! Loves me some Netherlands. I lived there in the late 80's early 90's. VERY cool people who love the Americans (at least they did back then). The older people have a great respect for what we did for their country in WWII. Heard some great tales from the old timers whilst sipping some wit biers and eating shawarma with kofalik. (wrong spelling)-tasty garlicy-mayonnaise-cucumber kinda sauce. Gotta get ya one.

Take the train down to Utrecht if you can. A large city, but without the grim and touristy parts like Adam. Very cool university town with incredible architecture. Canals too!

Cool, finally just heard the same from my mom. To quote actually "Got to speak with the copilot on our flight and one of the other pilots. Very nice guys." I never thought my mom would meet DT before I would :-P

I appreciate the kind words and will be sure to pass them along. Definitely have some awesome parents. I certainly wouldn't be where I am without them...and I'm not talking about in the biological sense. Thanks for taking the time to talk to them!

Mini Amsterdam on the drive out to The Hague.

And you can hear how gullible I am... ;) ("really?")
