Yeah, pretty much... it's about a 3 hour drive south of Amman. $120 bought us a car & driver for the whole day (split 3 ways, well worth the price of admission)

Great shots! Would be even better if... nah, there's no point in saying it.

I know, I know... it was my leg into AMM so couldn't take pictures then and honestly didn't even think of it on the way out. But here's some (can't take credit) that my brother took on the same trip (he came with me for the 4 day) from the airplane plus a few of his pictures from Petra. He's the more talented photographer in the family, so enjoy.....

Amazing Amazing Amazing pics! What kinda camera do you use? I have a Fuji S9000 but I still can't use it to its true potential!:(

I have a Cannon Xsi , and the ones my brother took were with a Cannon Xti. Almost all my pictures were taken with a 18-55mm Cannon EF-S lens.

Flickr is a great site for learning techniques too....
go to: http://www.flickr.com/cameras/fujifilm/finepix_s9000/ , and click on some pictures you like, then click "more properties" under the additional information part in the bottom right side of the page.... you can see what settings were used to get that particular shot.

Yeah man, you need to put more stuff like that in your photostream.

Is this the temple from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?

Great pictures.

I'll answer for him since I was going to post here anyway, yes, that is the temple from that scene. What a great movie!

Awesome pictures FlyingSig. I'm loving my Sigma 10-20mm on the XSi so far.

This is what happens when your neighborhood Starbucks closes and you have to drive an extra 20 minutes out of your way to get your coffee in the morning. Let this be your warning!!
