Hey Doc,

I am a Physician Assistant. Do you think the FAA will ever let us do the flight physicals?

I seriously doubt it. They have docs lined up on waiting lists to get into the program.

Crazy question here.

Can an AME do his own flight physical? Can Doc's still write themselves a script?

I know they closed the loop hole on CFI's giving themselves BFR's. Just wondering if the Doc's had a similar loophole?

AME's cannot do their own medical. They can write their own prescriptions for non-controlled medications (no narcotics, benzodiazepines, etc)

like everything else, using a PA will cut costs
