Yup….A long time ago we went into Omaha on a fiercely windy day with an almost empty B757. At one point on short final we had a 74kt GS. Felt like we were just hovering in place.

That's amazing. I know a DL 757 guy. He was telling me that airplane could get into some surprisingly short runways for its size.
