You should
I'm not some wet behind the ears "kid." You should know this by now. I've hit every corner of the industry, plus a career in a previous field. Most guys and gals at (most) airlines have no idea how good they have it.
You're an ass!
(I shouldn't need the tag here)
Mark my words, spending years on end in the right seat with no end in sight will drive you batpoop crazy. You'll see.
Yeah, no, there is NO blacklist; most everyone from the (not too distant) Brasilia days that wants to leave has done so or is about to do so.This is complete nonsense. In my NH class of 65, almost 50% of the class was former 121 (mostly regional, 1 B6, and 2 Atlas). Almost 50% of the regional guys and girls were SkyWest.
NH isn't Delta or United. It isn't even a US airline. Not sure why you would even reply. This is complete nonsense. In my NH class of 65, almost 50% of the class was former 121 (mostly regional, 1 B6, and 2 Atlas). Almost 50% of the regional guys and girls were SkyWest.
Must have misheard then. It happens sadly. That's not necessarily correct.
I think you're mixing up for SouthernJets to hire ASA pilots after hiring resumed in the mid-2000's above Skywest or almost anyone else. In general that was a temporary "thanks for taking care of our furloughees during the dark days".
NH isn't Delta or United. It isn't even a US airline. Not sure why you would even reply.
In the end I later mentioned I could have been wrong and brought in the guys that would know.

That would make more sense. Saying NH and then following up with other codes was weird. I would have never expected ANA to have so many US expats.I think he means "New Hire". Maggsy is a junior steamshipper. Toot toot!
It wasn't from XJT. Seems like I misheared. I thought I got it from an ALPA guy at the United Open House last year.NH = new hire. I replied because you made a bold, matter of fact statement that is completely incorrect. There's a lot of misinformation coming out of XJT these days and I don't think it's helpful to anyone trying to actually advance their careers.

Believe or not I never did drink the koolade. The reason I went to AMF was because I wasn't sure if I wanted to go the airline route or go for corporate. I knew AMF wasn't going to close any doors and would improve my resume so it made sense. He still drinks the Kool-Aid from AMF, and is buying wolf tickets from ASA lol...
There seems to be very little credible and concrete information out there re: how processes actually work.NH = new hire. The misinformation is due to a lack of transparency of the hiring process. Ten years ago people knew what needed to be done to be competitive. Now it isn't so clear and has become very subjective in nature.NH = new hire. I replied because you made a bold, matter of fact statement that is completely incorrect. The reason you get this stuff from XJT guys is likely because we are something like 50% of United and Delta feed.
I know quite well. I didn't intend to be melicious to SkyWest guys. They are good guys. Somewhere along the way I picked that stuff up and even called in the guys that would likely know. And guess who is doing the other 50%![]()

I was always skeptical about the SWA stuff they spouted however SWA guys always asked if my app was in and I even ran into a few previous AMFers flying for them. It has happened but the hiring game has changed
AMF's small footprint and short longevity makes it unlikely that more than 10% of their 170 pilots are even qualified for major at any time. Obviously you won't find many making the jump because they simply don't stick around long enough.
In the end I do mention this stuff because it what is owhat is out there. Having people in the know respond is how learning takes place
No need to get all aggressive about this stuff. Just go relax. You have your career job. You don't need to constantly complain about a job you didn't like 3 years ago. Time to move on.
