American Eagle question.....

Why on earth do they make you do the sim at that ungodly hour?

It's the time slot I was allocated. (2030-0230) A friend of mine wakes up and is leaving about the same time I am getting back to the Admiral Inn. He has (0430-1030) They all vary.

Still using the Admiral, huh? Does the lobby still leak when it rains??

When I was going through training, it was still a Holiday Inn, but had just been purchased by Admiral. Half the time we were there, the place didn't even have a sign. :D

But....it was "home."

I have not seen any problems in the lobby, but you are right you when you say "home." I have not been home in 6 weeks, but you cannot beat housekeping.

Is it more desirable to sit reserve for a while if you have a place near the airport, or commute somewhere and hold a line?

Yes.

No.

Maybe.

Depends.

Seriously.... it depends on a lot of things: Are you married? Do you have kids? Yadda, yadda, yadda....

Regarding the Admiral-

I just had my ERJ checkride on Friday, and now awaiting IOE in LGA.

When my Indoc Class started back on 2/4, the restaurant/club at that hotel was rockin' every Friday and Saturday night- they threw a hell of a SuperBowl Party. Turns out there must have been a falling out between the restaurant operator and the hotel, as the locks were changed the first week of March and now the food is scarce and the bar dry as a bone.

Bummer to all the newbies looking for a safe and decent place to grab a bite to eat.

All this said- I'm proud to say that Eagle IS the place to be.

Glen.
