Amazon PrimeAir

Airing hours before Cyber Monday, of course it was a PR stunt. They have more money than they know what to do with and if technology advances because of it :raiseglass:

Because for the last 30+ years we've hit the point where we *could* keep innovating at break neck speeds but we don't. Not for lack of technical abilities but for lack of public backing. We're not interested in math or science. We're not interested in new innovations. We're interested in the almighty dollar and the almighty dollar is quite risk averse.

I don't disagree that the USA as a whole has become much less interested in innovation, but the march of technology will continue, if not by the US, by other nations.

Interestingly, Amazon is only negligibly profitable. Most of their cash is from stock issues. Eventually, they'll have to stop building quad copters and start showing an actual return.

Where's my damn SST?
It's now sitting on a dock of all places after serving proudly for 27 years. Another step backwards for aviation.

However, they often make the mistake of investing in other businesses, not their own.

They will be a much more profitable company after their first bankruptcy.
