Amazon Job in KY

Being a dispatch forum I would surmise we all would relate operational control to 121.533. Obviously the NCC folks have “control” over their operations…but not the actual flights.

No, I am saying Amazon has operational control under 121.533 and it is BS the Feds don't seen to care.

Me: I think we should add more gas.
DX: I agree with you but Amazon wants us to go with OFP fuel.

Me: We are fully loaded and WX is moving in on the field, how about a early go?
DX: Yea I see that WX, let me see if Amazon will OK it.

At the overnight hotel I get a call from a KY number
Me: Hello
Amazon: Hey this "x" with Amazon ops do you have time to talk about your taxi times.

Holy crap! What’s your Union say about that? Did you ASAP it? That’s just unbelievable.

Yeah, there’s so many things I could say, but this is public, so I’ll refrain. I think you still have my number if you want to hear how we deal with our “customers”.

Sounds like someone who works for "Prime Ops", which is NOT Amazon calling to track down On/In times. Also, Dispatchers can't just willy nilly authorize early departs. The FARs authorize us to "delay" a flight. Amazon always always always is asking to ADD more gas. Personally, I tell them me and the Capt will discuss the fuel situation and decide if we need more.

Trust me it wasn't about On/In times. It was about my taxi times. After my FCR and ASAP I got an apology from everyone from Carlson down.

No offense but this sounds like an Atlas specific problem. No way this would fly at the other Amazon carriers.... Amazon Ops isn't even allowed to talk to Dispatch much less the pilots. At least I've never heard of such a thing.
