Amazing Video, F-15 Lands on 1 wing.

absolutely incredible...although I am still having a hard time believing that this is not some History Channel April Fool's joke.

Truly a testament to the durability and incredible thrust that the F-15 has.

You want to hear something truly amazing, similar to the F-15. Last night after work I drove home with,four,four tires on my car. But no rear bumper!

I remember hearing about that. I also heard that after the incident they called Boeing and asked them to ask their engineers if an F15 could land on one wing to which they replied " no "... then they sent pictures :D
 
The photos are real, but the video is fakery made for the History Channel. It was part of a show called "Heavy Metal"...you can see my ugly mug interviewed near the end of the show, too.

Easy there, Spartacus. The "not a pound for air to ground" F-15C is in that boat, but the Strike Eagle is as much a part of the real mission as the Hog and Wiper.

I had seen the pictures before, it was cool to hear the pilot's account of what happened. I always wondered why the stupid SOB didn't just eject.

I didn't pay attention enough to notice it was a mud hen. I stand corrected!

No, the jet that lost the wing was an Israeli F-15C. My point was that not all F-15s are "support assets" and not pertinent to the actual mission of airpower. :)
