Maybe I am missing something here, but talking to some international drivers they like to do two trips back to back to help out with commutting. How is it legal?
-Day one fly to Europe! Yippee!!!!
7:45 Block
-Day two arrive in Europe!!!!!! Enjoy some wine/beer!!!!
-Day three back to the States. Arrive in the States, go to the commuter hotel!
8:30 Block
-Day four back to Europe!!!!!!!
8:15 Block
-Day five arrive in Europe, enjoy yourself once again.
-Day six, back to the states and home.
8:45 block.
Am I missing something?
Well, the first thing is flying to Europe with under 8 hr block time is hardly "long haul" in my book!
More seriously, those out and back types to Europe are pretty hard on the body, I think. I prefer the round the world trips. MEM-CDG, layover, CDG-SFS, layover, SFS-KIX, layover, KIX-MEM, done with one other short thing in the month. Or, perhaps, MEM-HNL, HNL-SYD, SYD-SFS, SFS-HKG, HKG-ALA, ALA-CDG, CDG-MEM, done for the month!
