Allergy Meds?

I'm curious about over the counter allergy meds.
If they don't have a warning against operating machinery, would that be O.K. ? It would make sense that if I feel fine after trying them for a couple of doses that wouldn't be a violation, however we all know sometimes logic is left out of the equation. I am going to make an appointment with my flight surgeon next week, but I'm going nuts right now.

Ahh, welcome to the great quandy of over-the-counter drugs and flying!

Actually, it's got to be on the FAA-approved list in order for you to operate an aircraft while taking the medication. Things like Claratin and Allegra are approved as long as you have no deleterious effects when you're taking them.

For example, Sudafed is approved, I think, but Sudafed does bizarre stuff to me.

Thanks Doug, Now you've got me on the right track
