Allegiant

OMG THAT TACHOMETER!

FEATHER (___), (___) FEATHERED

My reaction when it happened to me was "huh, that ain't right. But this thing definitely isn't overspeeding, if it really was at 3500 right now it'd be loud as balls and the nacelle would be flying off. Guess we better just fly it around the patch and call full stop."

The previous crew that had the issue in that airplane feathered and declared.

I mean, I can't blame them for that, but indeed.

Oh. Does Allegiant have seniority-based upgrades or merit based?

She seemed nice. She got a seat in the back so we didn't talk much, just that she was in SFO to hang out with a United boyfriend.

Hey! I know her. Put in some years at Lakes before moving over to allegiant.

Possibly a different person then.

Actually I think the girl I know is an A320 captain. Once at our old shop we were having issues in Seminoles where the Avidyne would randomly indicate 3500RPM on one of the engines, in a way that was clearly an indication error. Her assessment: Carb icing.

Sounds like the fetzer valve to me.
