Allegiant to purchase 18 MD-80s

When I met your father, he was already a gifted pilot and I was amazed how strong the force was with him.

But these two droids? Never seen them before in my life....wait. Uh, no. Never seen 'em. There was this one little droid that looked amazingly like that one that saved my life a couple of times. Hang on....uh, nope. Not him.

I'm looking forward to you guys joining ALPA.

Don't hold your breath. Look for a major announcement in the near future that will kill the most common argument about AAY on here. The union drive will take a bit hit.

Allegiant can easily become a career airline

Just happened. New pay rates coupled with increased 401k match, contract with VFS, negotiations for loss of medical insurance, etc. all being anounced soon. 18 more airplanes, new base in GRR in April. Continuous growth ahead.

I'm hopeful that the pilot group will still make the right choice and won't get hoodwinked by management.

I'm well aware of the so-called "TA." I think you should remember that this didn't come until the day after the ALPA road shows began in Vegas. Do you think management would have given you anything if ALPA hadn't shown up on property? They stonewalled for months, but didn't make a move until the threat of ALPA appeared. The smart move for you is to obviously bring ALPA on board so the company ALWAYS has to deal with a union and treat your fairly instead of just this once.

Remember, if you vote ALPA on the property, this new "TA" becomes the base line for new contract negotiations. Not only will you get these improvements, but you'll be able to immediately begin negotiating for even bigger improvements. Don't let management fool you into passing up a golden opportunity.
