My algerbra teacher is teaching our class all kinds of stupid crap. I want to know how much algebra you really need to know to be a pilot. My brother a flight instructor at BGSU says you dont need much.

Dude definately suck it up. The way i look at it, dont base everything going on your life around the "future." What if the whole pilot thing doesnt work out, and your algebra stuff needs to come in handy? Just for instance, take life one step at a time. If the problem may be algebra, do it. And to answer your question. Computers have come along way in the modern aviation world.
And besides, algebra is a great math to know. It has fundamentals in alot of other math, so if you blow this off, you'll be having a hell of a time with other math. I got in an A in algebra, but i had to work for it. Now i have a D in geometry. I lost the interest to learn, but thats all changed. I've given this talk to me, previous in the past too!
