AK job hunt

Ya, we have the single pilot authority with auto-pilot. We were looking at putting screens on the copilot side of just one of the airplanes and running a SIC program. The FSDO came back and said yep can do, but the SIC would be required regardless of the AP and in all the 208's. We could have the single pilot exemption OR 2 crew, but no going back an forth. It was also pretty cost prohibitive to put Chelton screens on all the co-pilot sides as well.
That goes in the face of the interpretations on the matter. In fact you don't have to ask the fsdo anything. It's pretty black and white.

It would be like asking your fsdo if you could use standard takeoff mins.

It was looked at under the old CP and the cost of putting instruments on right side out weighed any benefit of arguing with the FSDO. Though with the current hiring crunch a training pipeline definitely had some advantages.

Thanks for the heads up. Resumes sent. Neither one of these spots came across climbto350?

I'd definitely look into ACE. They are hiring with wet commercial mins.

Ryan would be next up on the list, but in the current market I'd be hesitant to sign a training contract.

Desert Air might be another good low time option, and you could log some DC-3 time!

The Hageland C208 f/o program would be a a great option to get a foot in the door if you plan to stick around for a while. As far as time building goes, I think it's questionable how you can log the time as you are not a required crew member in the 208.

You'd be surprised at how much is word of mouth in Alaska. Hageland didn't advertise for the last couple classes and didn't have much of a problem getting what they needed. Also we will probably have a class in March.
