Airshows shouldn't exist

That seems a little bit radical, don't you think? No one is suggesting that we ban puppies, just that we keep them safely in kennels and reserve them for useful purposes, like convict-hunting and chinese food, rather than frivolous companion-animal nonsense.

I don't want my tax dollars supporting animal control, dog catchers, or city dog parks either. Make the dogs pay their fair share. Dog user fees.

Why is @ATN_Pilot silent on this? Where is the JUSTICE for the tens of people viciously slaughtered every year by man's supposed "best friend"???

Dogs aren't inherently violent. Quite the opposite, of course. Only scumbag humans who abuse them can make them that way. So if a dog attacks someone, find the human POS who made him that way, and beat the crap out of him.

Airshows aren't inherently violent, either, but you're positively demanding that they be bann...er, "restricted".

I mean, I don't have any problem with you having a dog, provided it has some legitimate purpose. But you need to keep it tied to a post in a deserted area. Those things are dangerous!

You're usually smarter than to make such ridiculous analogies.

We already have laws about dogs. For instance, leash laws. You can't let your dog roam free through the neighborhood. Similarly, you shouldn't be allowed to fly an airshow over someone's house or over a highway. This is common frickin' sense!

But you can walk your dog down the sidewalk where innocent people are minding their own business?

From what I gather from the last few posts....

"Airshows are dangerous, they attack tens of people each decade. We should make a law to put leashes on them!"

Not without a leash you can't. You know, sort of like "leashing" an air show to unpopulated areas.

Common sense!

Common sense? Common sense shows this is simply a veil you are hiding behind to eliminate airshows completely, since airports are built to serve a population, or much like a river or port, a population soon arrives to feed off the airport.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unpopulated

Definition of UNPOPULATED
: not populated : not occupied or settled : not inhabited

The Fort Lauderdale air show takes place completely over the water. Or at least it used to. Been years since I've been there, but I assume that hasn't changed.

There's no reason that you can't keep these things away from houses, highways, etc. And you know it.
