Are any of you planning on attending any airshows this year?

I think I might go to the one in Lumberton, NC, b/c it's the closest one to me. I remember attending the one in Fayetteville, NC, last year and it was just once awesome airshow. I thought it was the best airshow and there was a right good crowd of people attending it, but they're no plans for an airshow this year their b/c of the loss of money from last year.

If you want to know when an airshow is going to be and where then just ask in this topic. I'll be more than happy to respond.

I'll be flying into San Francisco from Australia on May 28th just so I can attend an airshow at Moffett Field the next day. I am hoping to meet up with a few people from JC, also.....

Just got back from an airshow in riverside, CA today.

Hey MikeD, there were some A-10's there from Davis-Monthan, were they some of your buddies? I think they were 355th fighter wing.
 
Oshkosh for sure, and probably the Air & Water Show here in Chicago in August. (Not sure if I'll be able to convince my better half to go to the CA&WS, he doesn't want to attend because it's put on by the city, and we're still pissed at Dictator Daley.....)

But I'm looking forward to OSH! Missed it last year......
 
I'll be spending at least two maybe three days at Sun N Fun. I hit the TICO Airshow a couple of weeks ago, and I MIGHT go out to Reno for the air races this year.
 
ORL had a nice airshow today. Some impressive fly bys and aerobatics with a P-51, F-86 and an A-10! 60 years worth of aircraft working together.
 
Millville, NJ in May. The Thunderbirds will be there. Last year the Blue Angels were and overall it was a good show.
 
Tampa, FL

After having been cancelled for the last couple of years Tampa is going to get the MacDill Airshow back this year. It was cancelled because MacDill AFB is also Central Command for the war (as far as I understand anyways). Anyhow its back this year and if you've never been you should try to make it.....ohh and the Blue Angels are gonna be here too . I believe it is the weekend of April 3-4? and then of course a week or so later Sun-n-Fun starts and that is second only to Oshkosh. Looking forward to a fun-filled April!!!
 
Cool cool!!!! Seems like there are good number of people on here from the Bay Area....I'll post something in the "Meets and Greets" section over the next couple of days......

Yeah, I wanted to drive over to MacDill and watch cool planes fly around with R2F. Unfortunately, I gotta $&%@ work.....
 
I might be going to the Mcdill Show with my girlfriend if I can get out of work, coming from DAB Might drive/might fly. Anybody else wanna go from this area.
