Just curious, but are there any airports out there where its airport operations personnel are not there 24/7? Something like the hours are from mornings to evenings? Would it include most GA airports in this case?

When did so many operators get opspecs that don't honor an AWOS? Ya'll need to get with the feds and get that fixed. Or if you're 135, I'd recommend looking into Eligible on Demand.Holy crap about 90% of our C070 is unmanned 24/7.
Nothing like calling Frank at 3:30AM (local, of course) and pissing off his wife, solely to get a weather observation.

Most. Even the busiest airports in the world don't have every department staffed 24 hours a day.
I always found it weird doing preflights early in the morning somewhere like DTW before stuff starts happening. Pretty much silent.
Try flying outta White Plains. The noise nazis would stand at the airport fence with watches and video cameras and God help the crew that started up too soon and violated the noise curfew.I always hated being the first guy to start an apu in the morning, especially at smaller airports. The birds where chirping, the breeze in the trees was relaxing.... Then bam. Apu noise.
