does my student need to meet the 50 PIC XC time since he already has the Instrument Helo? Or do we just need to satisfy the 10 hours in an Airplane part, which will be accomplished after tomorrows long IFR XC?

i know we have to do the 15 hours of training and the other stuff, but the PIC XC requirement has me confused since he is an instrument pilot already (done at a 141 school)
 
i read your article you sent me before creating this thread. i assume the military pilots you are talking about more than meet the 50 PIC XC time requirement, where my student does not even have 50 XC yet. He only has around 45 total XC with 33 or so PIC. but since he already has instrument helo (civilian) does he need to meet the 50 XC for instrument airplane?
 
i guess it doesn't matter, he is going to do his long commercial XC which will knock out the remaining time needed for PIC XC
