Airplane identification question

You people amaze me with your knowledge sometimes... How do you keep track of all those types of planes and how they differ? Just from experience?

It's not like there's much else to do in Prescott....

ok while i'm in the question asking mood.

Whats the difference between the 205, 206, U206, and 207?

The Cessna 205 has a oversized cargo door (compared to the C172/182) and has a small window in it, and is located on the left side of the aft fuselage.

The C206 has a double door setup on the right side of the airplane. The forward of the two doors is under the flaps. Something to consider when trying an emergency egress with the flaps down. The back door WILL NOT open!

The 207 moved the double doors further aft and do not get in the way of the flaps.

Original C210s did indeed have struts.

C210s, 206s, and 207s have turbine conversions.

Guess I was wrong about it being a 182.

Any Idea why only the nose gear retracts?

Cessna got rid of main gear doors on their singles in the 1970s.
