Airplane Flight Manual

Hello Everyone,

Quick question. In the ARROW documents required to be aboard an aircraft there is the requirement of a current, approved Airplane Flight Manual (AFM). We know that it must be specific to the aircraft with a serial number, N-Number, and signature. Can the current, approved Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) be a copy of the original an still be considered airworthy?

Thanks!

Sure it can, but it's got to be a legal, airplane specific copy.

There is a note in one of my 172 manuals that states:

An affidavit containing the owners name, airplane serial number, and reason for replacement must be included in the replacement requests since the POH and AFM is identified for specific serial numbered airplanes only.

Thanks for the reply. Where can you find the requirements that it can be a copy in the FAR's?
