I'm new here, and am not really sure this is in the right place, but...
My question is, how much time are people actually getting hired into the SIC program at Airnet with? I am trying to get all my ratings at an fbo and maybe change careers. I have been looking at alot of different places and airnet seems to be the only one with a sic program and no minimum time requriements. It also seems to be a good place to work, I havent really found anyone having any bad things to say on any of the forums I've looked at. But I couldnt really find a post by anyone that told an actual number of hours, so any help or advice for a career changer will be appreciated!!

They called me a few months ago telling me that "many have joined us with less hours than you have", when I had about 550TT and about 1.2 multi-PIC (from my comm multi checkride). I had to turn down an interview because I'm obligated to stay CFI-ing until my students get done.

I'm sure they would hire truck drivers if they could. Just remember you have to sit in the right seat of that baron until 1200. I don't know if i could sit there for 6+ months doing that.

You can always do the interview and get a training date after you are done with your obligation. Unless it's more than a year away...??

I interviewed with AirNet about 2 weeks ago. I believe I had about 730 TT and a comm. multi. They called me 2 days after I filled out the online application form. During the interview they guy doing the sim ride talked about a someone with 400tt that they interviewed recently. Hope this helps.

Sounds like they're hiring like crazy. A year ago, most of the new hires were close to 1000TT and were told to get to 1150 or so before training started. Now, it sounds like they're hiring more 400-800 hour pilots and going even lower than that sometimes.

What is the SIC pay now? It was about $7 rig pay. Is it still that?

I Last I saw the Prop SIC rig rate ( I still am not sure what a rig rate is) was 7.69. In an email Washka sent me he said Prop SIC is 1333.00 per month (minimum) but averages 1666.00 per month. I'll be attending training with a little less than 800 TT.

flyguydaniel, as the only Airnet guy in Nashville...congrats and good luck in training. When is your class date?

My class date is September 4th. I'm pretty excited about getting out of the CFI stuff and into something else a bit more challenging. Did the guy who did the 618 run out of Nashville relocate?

618, that would be me. And no I didn't locate as Nashville is, IMO, a hidden gem in the dirt. You gonna SIC here?

Oh, ok I must have misunderstood what you said. I remember your initials, you flew me up for my interview. I was the 2nd guy from MTSU if you remember me. Even though they have that choose your base deal I'm thinking I may just let them put me in the highest time run they have. But who knows what will happen. How much time do you usually get a night?

I flew up 4 guys from BNA. I'm pretty sure you're from Germantown, correct? Best of luck in training. Start reading the AIM. I sent my cell number to your PM, feel free to call if you have any questions at all.

618 is a low time run with decent pay. 14 legs a week, Expect about 80 hours a month.

Is somebody finally taking over the MSY Caravan slot?
Where did Richard end up? I'm pretty sure that was his name...he was from NO, and moved the airplane back down there. He did his IOE with me. Anybody know if he upgraded, or where he ended up?
