Be yourself! Don't try to pretend to be some hot shot. They can see right through that. It seemed to me that they are looking for people who don't mind shooting raw data approaches down to minimums at max gross weight. Pilot Recruit wants people who want to be there, be sure to let them know this(don't be overbearing though). They tell you from Day 1 that they aren't training Baron captains, they're training Lear captains. Be polite! Say thank you and try opening doors for people. It'll go a long way with pilot recruitment. Most of all, RELAX and have fun. I had a great experience and it proved to be successful. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Whoever was training with USC15 tonight around 900p, thanks for getting out of my way when I came off the runway!
Easiest way to get on the ramp, is stay away from the other planes, and keep them equidistant on your wings. After a while, all this becomes second nature and it won't be no thang cept for the chicken wang.Yeah that was me! I was a little slow at getting my head pulled out of my @ss to finish the runway items while rolling out and then we had to hold short and get out of the way for you. Man I don't know how you guys can see that taxiway line in the rain. It's tough with all the ramp lights and what not.
First night of flight training was fun but I'm definitely not used to the steep climb profile. We had some lgt-mod rain but it was pretty smooth. We did the maneuvers in the hold and shot 2 appchs. Manual gear extension sucks and took me 4 min. All in all not a terrible first flight. The Baron is a great plane and I like the fact that we train in whatever WX is out there; probably getting us ready to step out of our comfort zone.

Congrats.Hey! Passed my 135 checkride this morning! Looks like I'm heading to St Louis for my SIC. Anyone know who's on 243?

I heard he's pretty damn hard to get along with, thinks his airplanes have flippers and the such.Congrats.
I know him pretty well...lol
When you getting here?
Yeah better not assign him any chicks as SICs because you know how those stuck flippers make him feel...I heard he's pretty damn hard to get along with, thinks his airplanes have flippers and the such.
