I am about to join the airlines and also on the verge for upgrading my phone. Which is more user friendly Apple or Android.?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Most guys I fly with use a Jitterbug... Or should.

Does your airline offer you a EFB? If you end up getting an iPad, maybe staying with a iPhone would keep your Eco system the same.I am about to join the airlines and also on the verge for upgrading my phone. Which is more user friendly Apple or Android.?

Don't get a smart phone.
I don't have one and it's great.
The devices I see everyone with would significantly disrupt my qi.
Palm Treo.

This same guy complains about how difficult his commute is and how he always misses flights...and then on the go-home leg, he busts out his legal pad paper and #2 pencil to review his hand written flight times and gate information from a week ago.Ahh, I remember captain "Too cool for a mobile phone or a laptop" but the second we get re-routed "Can I borrow your phone? Do you have service? What time does the business center close at the hotel? Crap crap crap!"

They do have an android version and for a lot of reasons that shouldn't be posted it is a lot better. If you go to an Airline associated with AMR, you'll get the inhouse developed apps mobileCCi and MobileFOS apps which run on APple so that you can sign in by tapping the red button in the airport terminal on your smartphone instead of running thru the terminal searching desperately for a decs terminal to sign in before sign in time + 1 minute. Unfortunately you still have to be in the airport terminal, being on the airport bus driving to the terminal and pushing the red smartphone button results in the dreaded "you need to be within 50 ft of the airport, you are 1,500 ft from the geoboundaries of Dfw airport" error.
Although by now they've probably got android versions.
