Airline application process

Step one to improving your lot is taking the time to improve things, and the biggest hurdles any of us have to overcome are the barriers we put up ourselves.

Yeah, the application process can be a pain, but so is the constant agony of being whipsawed around at the regionals. I once thought a decent career could be carved out at the regional level. Maybe there was a 15 - 20 year period when that was true, but now the only way to create any kind of stability for yourself is to move to the next level.

At least, that's my opinion. Good luck.

Just pay the renewal. Fill out once, problem solved. Airline apps then makes filling out apps outside of that site easier too. Worth the money and you are always prepared.

Of course.

(It really comes down to what you think that your time is worth.)

Single engine before CMEL. Multi engine before CMEL. That would make it REAL EASY!! I like it!!

It is electronic just need to write the macros. Still time consuming.

I spent more time than I would like to admit working out my electronic logbook so that when I get to that magical # it won't be as daunting of a task

I went to Log 10 Pro just for that reason. It took more than a few beers for me to get it transcribed over too, but it's time well spent IMO.

Does airlineapps save your information if you haven't paid for it in a few years?

Yes. I found that out a few years ago, when I was starting to fill out the Delta application. I tried my original login and it worked. It immediately said that I had to pay the fee to do anything at all, including see what was in my profile. So, I paid the fee and Eagle sent me an email, asking me to update my application because it looked like old info. Turns out, my old profile was not same as the profile I was using to apply to Delta, so I basically wasted $60 and Eagle's app system's time. I had filled out that profile for Eagle in like '06 and this was about '08.

Airline apps is actually pretty convenient IF you pay the fee.

Good to know, thanks.
