I need a raise so I afford the airfare to Vegas. Even from ATL it's around $350. I'm cheap when it comes to airfare...and I will pay a little more for convience, but that costs around $500! What kind of rates are people on the East Coast getting? I could probably get buddy passes from different people, but then I'd be stuck somewhere I wouldn't want to be. Dammit!!:mad:

Maybe to get airfares down we could ask pilots and FA to take a pay cut, or maybe take mainteance out of country. :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
 
You're bitching about a $350 roundtrip fare from ATL?

Before you do that, go check out what Greyhound charges. I did it for you. It's $206 and it will take you four days getting back and forth.
 
ATL is a hub airport. It shouldn't cost that damn much from a hub. I checked the airfare from BWI, IAD, and DCA for you...all less than $350...no wonder you're not complaining. And I wouldn't ride in a Greyhound across the street, let alone across the country...you're comparing apples or oranges.
 
You misunderstand, it always costs more from a hub airport because airlines know that they can charge a higher rate for a non-stop trip.

Dude,

where are you looking for yuor fares? In two seconds I just found many available non-stop fares on southern innanashinal ;) all less than $500 and most are $345................

Better check again.
 
Not always. I've typically found it cheaper to fly out of a hub. And in this particular case, I still do. If I were to fly from CHA to Vegas it'd be +/- $150 more depending on the airline. Maybe that's because CHA and ATL are so close.
 
well, lets say its a 1000 mile trip from atl to vegas. lets say you get 30 miles to the gallon in your car on the highway.

2000 miles /30 = 66.7 gallons. x $3/gallon = $200. and thatd take you a few days.

Let's say that you fly to DFW first, then I pick you up and then I can give you some dual instruction in a Seminole out to Vegas and back. You'd save money at the airlines, and you could get multi current again!

Oh wait...

i've come to the realization i have to spend some money...which will be worth it to meet some more of you all...(at least i think:sarcasm: )
