CommutAir North Olmsted, Ohio:<BR />The primary duty of the dispatcher is to jointly with the Captain control the movement of company aircraft in such a manner as to maximize safety and efficiency.<br /><strong><br />Essential functions:</strong><br /><ul><li>Plan each flight departure with the primary emphasis on safety, compliance, passenger convenience and schedule continuity</li><li> Monitor information regarding weather and airport conditions in order to anticipate changes that may affect aircraft operations</li><li>Brief flight crews on airport and meteorological conditions, airways, aircraft mechanical status, NOTAMs, and procedures as required</li><li>Delay, reroute, divert and overfly all company aircraft</li><li>Issue timely information to stations and other departments concerning release preparation, fuel loads, passenger information, aircraft assignments and swaps, delays cancellations, unscheduled landings, diversions and overflies</li><li>Monitor progress of each flight under operational control to ensure release compliance and update flight crew as needed with information</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>
