Airbus is getting rather nasty

Hahaha, we will never agree. I hated the 210s at FLX and I think you liked it. Clearly I like the stupid airplanes. My favorite turbo-prop is the metro, so yeah... :)

HEY, don't call my Metro stupid. It might be a little "challenged" but it isn't stupid. ;)

How is the 99 different than any other King Air (I only have experience with the 200, 300, and 350)?
It is a King Air with no trim wheel or pressurization. Also old -27 and -36 ( believe these are right) engines that don't get up and go like current King Airs.

The fast trim issue can easily be remedied by using the slow backup trim. I never had issues hand flying the thing. Some 99s do have some untrimable issues from people gearing them up and wrecking them so many times in the past.

-27s? Hah. I had -20s on my 1967. Thing belonged in a museum.
A model?
The wing on the thing is a turd, but so is the engine. I don't understand why they used the wing on the 100 but fixed the engine issue. 500-550pph and 180 knots. Just blazingly slow. It's actually a higher fuel burn than my current airplane(assuming I go to altitude) and 100 knots slower.

Ours had 27/28's

If I showed up for a flight and there was a 99 sitting there I would demand my money back. No Fing way.

I don't understand your hate. These days the aircraft isn't that great for operational needs but from a pilot standpoint the aircraft is stupid easy to fly and the systems are stupid easy to learn for the most part.

The only thing I don't like about it is that we don't use tail stands. We center load only here, which makes my fear of putting one on it's ass that much higher. Center loading a heavy load is just :bang:. I wouldn't mind if it were a little bit less sloppy with it's ground handling characteristics either. :)

Is that a crappy photo or just Instagram? :)

(I know, I know, I just despise Instagram)

Oh me too! "Oh, you took an absolutely gorgeous picture of some old stuff, in an old area of town! But wait, you want to make it look like you took it with an old ass POS camera too!????" :)

Look! It's a picture of my taco in sephia tone!

Now it's like it's an Old West taco truck! Hoo hoo!

From a pilot standpoint the ergonomics are horrendous and it flies like the biggest turd on the planet. It is the loudest airplane I've ever flown, also has very little ability to control the climate inside. Made me really miss the janitrols. The steering on the ground is a joke. Reverse is a joke, but that's more a downfall of the pt6. The wheels are too small, and the brakes too large, yet they still don't work all that well for the size of the airplane.
