Air Wisconsin

Yup. 294 salaried/management types (permanent layoff) and 219 union workers (temporary layoff) at both ATW and MKE. The list includes 7 Crew Schedulers, 4 Senior Crew Schedulers, 12 Dispatchers, 1 Dispatch Trainer, 7 Dispatch Coordinators, 4 SOC Duty Managers.
That would be all of every work group.

Where did you find this? If you know this do you know a date?
The local news outlet did an article on it and included a link to the notification that AirWis sent to the State of Wisconsin for unemployment notification and it listed all the positions. The date I believe is March 29, the state requires a 60 day notice so this was posted on Jan 29th. I just found it by googling. Interestingly, one of the positions listed was CEO. Air Wisconsin plans a mix of temporary, permanent layoffs affecting over 500 people

I'm curious why Air Wisconsin wouldn't do something like buy Mesa out of debt if only just for the United flying...or...to have the differentiated aircraft types and already trained crews for a better contract with US or AS.

I've heard there could be a mesa, air whiskey merger. Hard COULD though.

If Air Wisky does merge with Mesa hopefully Johnny O is shown the door and the AWAC CEO gets the gig at the combined carrier. Have heard a lot of bad stories about Mister Ornstein over the years.

Definitely the worst CEO I ever worked for. I’m amazed he’s still there, but I’m sure no other airline is interested in hiring him. Fortunately I haven’t had to do anything but read about him for the last couple of decades.

As a former dispatcher (different airline) and current flight attendant at ZW...it sure would be nice if we heard something from our airline leadership other than, "we haven't made any decisions about who to lay off or furlough."
I was told by the Flight Mechanic on my supplemental trip today that the DAY maintenance base was notified that it will be closing up completely on April 23.
