Air India plane crash

I wear a Back The PAC lanyard and support the PAC financially. I think very few pilots understand the importance.

I was asked by a rep why I didn’t wear our pink and purple merger “Kool Aid” lanyard. I don’t think he liked my answer. 🤣
I actually had someone send me one of those lanyards, as I rather like it, and a splash of color is most welcome. I informally collect them.

My current one is targeted at aggravating Atlanta captains.

Our pilot group as Eskimo has the lowest participation in the PAC than any other major, apparently. It’s the only thing stopping us from being replaced by Polish pilots on Irish registered aircraft. Working for 20% of our current pay.

I dunno why you hate Poles so much, but anyway.

Going the way of the maritime industry is definitely something that worries me.

Airline pilots. Foreign workers and illegal immigrants are great for every job sector. Except ours, of course. Wouldn’t want those people do our job for less and put us out of a job.

The irony, the double standard.

I sailed aboard a tall ship that had a Vanuatu registration since it was dirt cheap.

I had to name two fictional countries. One for pilots. One for aircraft registration. The only reason why it things have not gone this way is because of the ALPA PAC. I believe that any airline regional or major would be all over the chance to replace us with cheaper labor.

And yeah I'd wager the Poles could do an equal job as us but for a lot less money they'd send home to family. See I don't hate them.

What double standard? I assume most airline pilots are very anti-immigration given the overall partisan lean of the profession.

Though interestingly, my airline has a lot of Venezuelan and Ukrainian pilots with work visas, and I haven't heard many complaints about this from the U.S. citizen pilots here, except about English proficiency issues.

You’re correct, but JC seems to have a liberal slant and favorable views - except when it comes to protecting this career. Then it’s screw the foreigners. There is one proud Delta pilot who wrote that Delta never participated in that Australian pilot visa thing.

I left the PAC (Behnke’s Circle) last year and they literally couldn’t care less nor even returned my email.

Honestly seems like a weird take. If you left any PAC they'd probably do the same. And then send you a bunch of automated emails asking for more money. 😅
