Air Desert Pacific was a flight school in operation for over 18 years in Southern California. Originally at Brackett, the school spent the last three months at, ironically, the recently closed Makarion building in Chino.

and why is it peeps are giving their closing a "horray" of sorts? normally that's not a nice thing to say unless there's a bad blood in the background... and i don't quite understand what was wrong with them? I suppose it makes sense since i've never heard of them before...

From what i've heard, i was originally checking that place out. And when there, a bunch of local pilots told me not to go there. Apparently some mx problems..i dont know too much besides that though.

Damn kev, you've been spotted, lol. Someone else who replied to this thread has a lot more info about what happened. I heard that the school file bk when it moved from POC to CNO. I guess he finally threw in the towel. It sucks for all of the students and instructors that are now on the street.

THe school was a great place for Socal typed to get quick and cheap ratings, but the owner was always shaving off money when it came to MX. HE was also real cheap on the paychecks. Definaltely the lowest paying job in SoCal, and probably around the country. The only perk working there was the other cool instructors, and the fact that a lot of us were pulling almost 100 hr months, with a ton of multi-time. The school has been around for quite a while, and there are a lot of former instructors still roaming the boards. Good luck to those who got screwed again by Ari.

But as far as the owner went I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire!

Ironic - moving to Chino seems to close down flight schools - first Lenair, now ADP!

My flight school is still open, been there for 10 years i think. AIA flight!!
We just got online a new 172SP!:rawk:

WTF? Bigey, how big is this flight school. The website looks nice, but with only 3 regular training planes, how to they get away with this:

Aircraft availability is subject to change without notice... To be eligible for Block aircraft rates, customers must place at least $1,850.00 on their flight account. $350 is non-refundable.
