For every British Airways, there three "Ryan Air's" low wages, lax labor laws and people clawing one another's eyes out to get there in order to get somewhere like... British Airways.

For what its worth, I hear from a friend at AC that the RFP was put out to companies with "excess 50-seat aircraft". Hmm...sounds like the DLC carriers. But people at AC don't seem to be taking this very seriously and brush it off as a way to put pressure on the Canadian regionals. I'd be surprised if a US airline got the flying.
