And the really ironic part of it is that these death defying, edge of performance envelope jobs are the first ones the FAA/insurance companies say you should get when you have your wet commercial ticket.

An actuary has calculated that these fields are low enough liability from a collateral damage perspective that they’re suited for lower time pilots. Compared to say, a regional jet with 50 people that thought they bought a ticket on mainline but instead are on a flight operated by BlueStar Airlines for mainline.
