3rd world countries gonna 3rd world. Like gassing up the plane in Africa. They leave the fuel truck blocking you from moving until you pay.

This happened at my old freight shop right before we went under. I get a call from a friend of mine in HLN, “dude you aren’t going to believe this! I was excited that we finally paid these guys our back bills, they pulled the fuel truck up like they used to right as I shut down. I went to tell them no thanks but I’ll get gas tomorrow. They were like nope, not until your bosses pay their bills.”

He said he thought about backing the MU-2 up but figured it was a bridge too far for a company that was bouncing paychecks.

Even better, that place somehow got reorganized and we were back three months later. Same faces, airplanes, and cargo. Just a new name stenciled on the side. Those old boys at that FBO were not happy, sorry the bankruptcy court has your money. We are a new company now. I did feel sorry for them, one of the last independent old school FBOs. I doubt they ever got a dime of what was owed to them.
