AFRC/ANG Pilot Packet

Hey Guys,

Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend. I was wondering if you could explain what all is needed in the Pilot packages when applying for a pilot slot with an ANG or AFR unit. I'm not applying any time soon, I just wanted to get an understanding of what is needed when applying for a unit. Also any advice/input on would be great. Thanks again.

I'll give the same advice I give on every thread that involves questions regarding the ANG or AFRC, which happens to be about every 4 days:

1.) Search this forum
2.) Seach airlinepilotforums
3.) Search Baseops (flyingsquadron.com/forums)
4.) Search Wantscheck.

If you don't find what you are looking for, you are WRONG! :)

Most units will tell you what they want in their packets. Easy enough.

Best of luck. Seriously though, if you put some effort in to looking for an answer and you can't find it, feel free to PM me. Just do your legwork first.

FF,

When I was at OTS, I was way too busy doing TPS reports and demerit forms to dick around on the internets. How much longer do you have to go anyway? Go ahead and take the approp.....ahhh, never mind. ;)

Yeah seriously, Oh-Tee. Back in my day we had to manually type our memos on type writers and deliver them through 5 miles of snow covered roads without shoes.

By the way, it sounds like FF has officially been indoctrinated with the, "Figure it out, Oh-Tee" mentality, so I'll help the original poster. It depends on the unit, but typically you'll need at least:

  1. Cover letter
  2. Resume
  3. AFOQT scores
  4. TBAS
  5. College transcripts
  6. Letters of rec
Nothing too crazy, right?

Thanks for all of the help, I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to get a better understanding on how the entire process works. So thanks again.

I'm 30% done-plete. OT Lt Col Casey is fortunate to have only 2 weeks 2 days and 96 seconds to go.

Back to my OODA Loop....

Why don't fake OT LTC Casey and you and the Fez get off the web and back to work there! I see you all don't have enough to do. :D
