:hiya:Hello everyone,
I am frm outside US and planning to come to US for professional pilot training . But i am having problems in choosing a flight school. I don't want to be ripped off in the name of training.
Can anyone plez tell me the best flight academy to train at.
I have 45000 USD with me and i currently have four options. which is the best among these??
1. Skymates, texas
2. Pan Am
3. Mazzei flying service, california
4. Professional flight training, Florida
I want to begin & end the training as soon as possible so PLEZ help me in choosing a flight school...................

:hiya:

I suppose you're looking to get all your ratings? How long do you plan to stay? Elaborate a bit on your goals and I'm sure we can help you

Just a nit-picky note, but it's please, not plez. :)

Have you read the sections in the forums here for those individual flight schools? The flight school sections can give you good insight from people who had already attended the programs.

I don't have experience with the others, but I went to Skymates for most of my ratings. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go there for ALL of my ratings. IMO, it's the best bang for your buck.

moxiepilot ,
professional pilot course includes all the ratings na! I would stay as long as my Visa doesn't expire,I want to start my training frm sept but haven't locked a school. Gosh! der r so many flight schools in US & each claims to be the best so it's really hard for a non-american to choose a flight school.

MQAAord,
yes maaam it's please not plez(:o) but i am so used to to plez.

Actually i was askin for a flight school which trains it's students not just to pass the checkride but to become a real AVIATOR.

hey kellywolf would it be ok to start the training frm september,i mean weather wise .....

well, a lot of us are going to try to help you. But I still think some in depth information would benefit us.

First, look through the forums about the flight shools and FBO operations. There is a lot of information on places like Mazzei, Embry Riddle, Skymates, ATP, et al.

Once you start to decide onn what type of school, we can probably help you narrow down your choices.

Here is some advice. When you are writing a post on an aviation forum write it in plain English, not like you are using your mobile phone to text someone. The same will hold true for any cover letters you write to prospective employers or any letters you write for any purpose. Leave text abbreviations on a mobile phone.
