Advice from RJ Captains?

I am interested in hearing from some RJ Captains. I seem to find a lot on here about the tough days of FO regional's. I would like to know how the quality of life is in between FO for regionals and the majors - (i.e) life as an RJ Caption. I am interetsed in hearing about:

Overall Quality of Life

How long did it take you to upgrade?

Are you happy in your job? Was it worth first few years of struggling?

Would you be happy staying as an RJ Captain if you never got a chance with the majors?

Do you feel there is there stronger "Job Security" as a Captain?

Do you have much more pull in where you are based & where you fly?

I appreciate everyones help!

Your first question is worded very oddly.
I would like to know how the quality of life is in between FO for regionals and the majors - (i.e) life as an RJ Caption.
Are you trying to compare being a FO at a regional to flying at the majors? Or FO at the regionals to captain at the regionals? Or captain at the regionals to flying for the majors?

The only major difference between RJ pilots and major pilots relates to pay and their company's contract.

Upgrade time is different at every company, and can change constantly even within a company.

Job security is entirely dependent on the health of company and your seniority.

Where you are based is dependent on your seniority.

Clocks,

Sorry I had a hard time wording that. I am trying to compare life at the Regionals - FO VS Captain. I just see so many people talking about how tough life is for the first few years are as a regional FO and was wondering how much that changes when you make it to Captain. I guess what I am trying to determine is - If you never make it to the Majors...is life pretty good as a regional Captain?
