ADS-B equipped aircraft

Cessnaflyer

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Has anyone flown an ADS-B aircraft? Is there any benefits yet with ATC? We just got it in the King Air but the G1000 manual only talks about how to turn it off if asked to.

We called it the fish finder. You get ghosts sometimes that pop up as a second return, or as a random return quickly coming at you and going to your altitude. If you think it's over Mach 1... it's a ghost. It's nice to have when you're at a major airport on approach as you can get a better idea as to what ATC is thinking of doing with you. At non-towered airports it can help with figuring out the flow. However, with all the aircraft not on it, it makes people complacent to see and avoid.

I've considered getting an ADS-B receiver for my iFly 700, coverage maps are looking pretty solid, but have resisted until I hear more pireps.

That sounds like TIS I thought ADS-B was supposed to be more accurate.

Did my CFI initial in this one

Nice airplane. Since we don't have any ADS-B stations around here yet, none of the features (traffic,wx) work yet. Even with the older TIS displays in other airplanes, you'd still pick up your own airplane as a target while maneuvring

We have TCAS so I am not to worried about traffic. What I was hoping for was more directs from ATC. Do those guys not have the equipment yet?
