Admission to Hospital and Medical application

So I went to my doctor a few weeks ago because I thought I had a cold or the flu. I was able to see him on a Sunday and due to my symptoms (headache,lower back and neck pain on top of cold/flu symptoms) he recommended that I be tested for meningitis. Unfortunately the only place available for this testing on a Sunday evening was the ER. On his insistence I went and was tested for meningitis at my local ER. All the tests came back negative and the doctor concluded I had some sort of virus and to let it run its course. I was in and out in a matter of hours.

My question is, does this count as being "admitted" to hospital under question 18(u) on the 8500-8 FAA medical form? If so what is the process like when I apply for my next medical? Does it take a long time (will i miss work)??
