Adding pilot to resume for non aviation job?

I know this got a bit off topic but I tried meshing most of the skills involved in being a pilot into my general resume since I have very limited job experience and I'm not going to put being a delivery driver on there. If anyone could take a look and let me know if I did a good job of that I would be greatly appreciative. As my attempt at gratitude I'd buy you a beer if you're ever in Seattle. Any and all criticism is fine by me.

I have my PPL/Instrument and 141 ground schools on my resume (IT Based). I agree that it shows good study habits and that you're not a complete buffoon. I just interviewed for a job a couple weeks ago and the guy I interviewed with is also a pilot...it definitely gave us something to chit-chat over during the 5 minute "get to know each other" session.

What in the world is in that attachment?

How does "Recently completed all of the rigorous requirements necessary to earn a commercial pilot certificate" as the description of commercial pilot sound?

Eh, I personally don't much care for how that sounds. I'd rather put "Federal Aviation Administration Certificated Commercial Pilot" or "Currently holds a Commercial Pilot's Certificate through the F.A.A."

When I read "Recently completed all of the rigorous requirements necessary to earn a commercial pilot certificate", it sounds to me like you went out one weekend and got your Commercial pilot's certificate just for the challenge and because you could. That's just me though. Make it sound like your a professional commercial pilot and have been flying for awhile.

Nice resume though! Congrats!

It wouldn't let me attach a word doc so I stuck in in a winrar file. To everyone else who commented thanks and I'll be sure to make some changes to it. I really like FAA certificated commercial pilot so I already made that change. Sounds a lot better than the crap I had
