ADD testing

If I have been off Strattera for pretty well 6 months, had all my records sent to the FAA about along with a doctor note saying he thinks I am ready to fly; what is the probability the FAA will make me take that $2000 test for ADD? How hard is it to pass the test? How much will insurance cover? What is the proper name for the exam?

Thanks

I would wait for the FAA to answer you. They may issue your medical without further testing if the doctor's note was written well enough. If not, they will send you a list of tests they require. They usually will ask for a trail making test, a Wisconsin Card Scoring Test and a Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test.

Whether or not insurance pays for the testing depends on your policy.

The ease of passing depends on your ADD and ability to concentrate and remember.
