On April 24, 2006, Compass Airlines officially opened its doors as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, Inc. Compass was formed as a Northwest Airlink partner to operate 36 of its new 76-seat regional jets.
Compass Airlines is focused on providing safe and reliable air transportation and great customer service. Compass will operate 36 new state-of-the-art Embraer 175 aircraft featuring dual class service, including 12 first class seats and 64 seats in coach.
The airline continues to work closely with the FAA to complete the certification process and expects to begin operational service in early 2007. Compass’ initial flights will be operated with one 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft on a twice daily route between Minneapolis (MSP) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Washington, DC.
Although Compass is a new entrant in the air transportation industry, the company is growing rapidly. Compass expects to operate a fleet of 10 aircraft and employ more than 300 people by the end of 2007.
Compass Airlines is headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, approximately 5 miles south of Dulles International Airport. For more information about Compass, please contact us:

Who are you? I notice all your posts and your avatar are advertising Compass. Are you a representative of the company using the General Forum to advertise your company, or just an eager new hire? Tell us a little about yourself.

If you have a job to post, post it in the jobs available section. If you want to advertise, PM Doug and I'm sure he'd love to talk with you about his rates for banner ads ;)

I am not positive if that is correct but that may be since they are going to fly the E 175 which are not your usual RJs.

nope, ATP is 1500...

JAA actually has something called a frozen ATP, you take the test for ATP and it is witheld until you have 1500, once you reach it, you gain ability to do the flying part of it, and voila, you got your ATP :)
