This has absolutely zero to do with PBS whatsoever. This was a glitch in the green / red TTOT system where trips were green and people were allowed to drop their trips.God PBS sounds horrible... I will forever love PSA's SAP until they take it away from us.
The amount of open time over the holidays is insane. They are acrewed until they offer 3-400% pay
The learning curve for PBS is very steep on both sides. The Trip Trade system is a confusing mess and bad decisions and bids can bite pilots and management. Not to bash Scott Kirby, as he is no longer at AA, but he represents the promise, perils and failures of a very complex PBS system. To those types who live and breath by the "spread-sheet" and believe that the can micro manage the schedule; the education that a bad button push, or program miss-step can cost millions. Kind of like being a pilot.
It seems to me that the spread sheet geeks are of the mind set that they can fly the last minute of the December schedule with the last reserve just timing out at 11:59, Dec. 31st. Every block holder does his schedule and all the pretty numbers add up just right. Not to much, not to little, just micro-manage this thing to the Nth degree like they taught us in MBA school.
At the pilot school house they teach CAMI when dealing with the FMS. Confirm, Activate, Monitor and Intervene (if necessary). Somebody messed up a step in the scheduling department. I guess and the company December schedule is heading direct to ed UP instead of direct to the happy customer waypoint.

Name one good thing APA has ever done?Hey remember when you said APA was going to cave and allow the company to put the trips people dropped back on their lines? I do!
I’ve had good luck with TTS overall. Over the summer I traded away every single trip with it. Of course I miss SAPYou think TTS is confusing? I don’t know how it could get any easier.

I hate to break this to you, but you have both the best functioning, and easiest to work PBS software in the industry. If the kids at American can't figure it out, I have no idea how they can be trusted to program an FMS.
I'd do...things, to get AOS back.
People confuse work rules with PBS programs. It’s my second PBS program to work under and its soooooo easy. I love it. People need to realize it’s some of the work rules they don’t like.I hate to break this to you, but you have both the best functioning, and easiest to work PBS software in the industry.
