AAAE Accreditation for airport management, which is right for me?

To anyone who works in airport management or has one of the AAAE accreditation, I want to ask a question regarding which AAAE certification is right for me.

Should I get a Certified Member (C.M.) accreditation or the Airport Certified Employee (A.C.E.) accreditation? Is C.M. a level higher up than A.C.E. or are they simply different with no levels of prestige?

Is the C.M. tougher to get than an A.C.E.? What is a passing grade for the C.M.?

Is that true that the C.M. exam multiple choice exam questions are worded in a way that is not the typical multiple choice exam you take in college? I heard some of my friends took the C.M. exam and failed because the way the questions and answers are worded in the multiple choice exam are different than the usual multiple choice tests they took in college.

When I was in airport management the CM was viewed as the basic credential to get. I'd never heard of ACE, but is seems like a specialist track program. The AAE was the real beast.

I think you'll find the CM will open more doors for you in management. Having said that, most people in oops I came across did not have any AAAE certification.

CM and ACE are separate programs.

I took the CM test first simply because I was already registered for it. The CM material is broader based than the ACE programs. I found the CM test to be very, very tricky. The answer choices are worded in such a way, and based on pretty nitty gritty info that makes them difficult.

One big difference is you do not have to maintain membership in AAAE to keep the ACE credential, whereas the CM designation requires continued membership.

I believe the CM is valued by many in the industry, some airports even offer a bonus to employees who obtain the CM.

I currently work in airport ops, PM me if you have any other questions.

Hey guys. I thought I let you guys know that I recently applied for and got accepted into the AAAE's C.M. program. I also bought the physical copy of the Body of Knowledge Modules but in the mean time I got started on studying the Body of Knowledge Modules online. There are four modules but there is a lot of reading to do. I was wondering what is the best way to study the modules?
