AA/USair

You'll dig being a TWA pilot. They used to call it "The Pilot's Airline" - Lindberg line, Howard Hughes ownership, Jack Frye - a not inconsequential pilot in his own right -was President for years. Best training center. Best everything. You'll dig it. And you'll dig flying out of municipal downtown.

Yup, because the only thing better than not facing the present is living in the past. It's nothing but win! Yay!

Yeah... I'd be happy to throw a bucket of water (or three) but I think I'm going to pass on the strange fetish stuff.

Hopefully the TWA furloughees are protected ahead of Eagle pilots who are, for better or worse, already employed.

Get this thread back on course. AA pilots will be recalled in order. Yes, some pilots working at Eagle are senior to some TWA guys but that is how the airlines work, the senior guys get recalled first. Why all the hate for Eagle pilots. Some of your posts make me think you would fit in great at APA.

And that is Zaps problem how?

Actually, it's everyone's problem that has any level of career investment in this field. Those that don't, won't understand the psychological dynamics of what's taking place.

Think of the premise of "Ghostbusters II".

"You know, I just can't believe things have gotten so bad in this industry that there's no way back. I mean, sure, it's messy, it's crowded, it's polluted, and there are people who would just as soon step on your face as look at you. But come on! There's gotta be a few sparks of sweet humanity left in this burned-out business. We just gotta find a way to mobilize it!" - Captain Peter Venkman

(PS - I have nothing against Eagle pilots. I just have an excess of sympathy for TWA pilots.)

I'm sure glad someone understands the reference!

But seriously, the industry is facing some significant challenges. Some obvious, others not so obvious. Ya'll just gotta keep it together! it's not like we're all early 20's and they're pulling Draft Cards to serve in Vietnam or something.
