AA/US dispatch class?????

The posting went up today. I am told it will be a class of approximately 10 on the LUS side. Good luck to all who apply.

Figure with the shuttering of Envoy it will probably be filled somewhat internally...correct?
Probably not true since this is the LUS side. Only one Envoy person has been hired on that since in the past couple of classes. And Envoy isn't shuttering yet just downsizing.

I'm hoping 10+ years experience in the trenches plus being at a subsidiary gets me an interview. We'll see though. Good luck to all.....but me first!

A joint contract is about to be negotiated with new rates, but currently the U.S. Side starts at about 38k first year then goes into the mid 50s in year 2.

It's going to be a while before we get anywhere close to a joint contact. But yea, "industry leading pay" Will be part of it. Delta plus whatever the rumor is this week.

Yep. And 38k gross. That's a poverty wage in Pittsburgh.

Wonder if this class will get jerked around like the last? Based in DFW but put up in hotels until we move.
Well...I am thinking that with the posting going up today the earliest all the interviews could be done with and background checks would be the end of May, which would suggest a class starting in June. With two months of classroom training, that takes you into August which is when collocation happens, I would actually be surprised if the next class ever went to PIT at all.

My thoughts exactly.

Why is that?

Negotiations take a while, minimum a year. The bigger the changes to the contract, the more time you can add on. And I'll have to agree with my peers, TWU doesn't make it any better of a situation. All too long to explain in this forum, I'd do some research on time periods for industry negotiations time frame.
