AA pilots speak out in support of Eagle pilots

For me the head nod is less a greeting and more of a shared acknowledgement of the FUBARed stuff we see on a regular basis that only someone else in the industry can understand. More of a "heh, yeah...me too."

Same here. We might not see eye to eye on a lot of things, but any pilot out there is on the same side of things with me on at least one thing. Comrades in arms, so to speak.
