Good luck,

After the lucky applicant finishes the internship he or she will be told by AA, thank you for your work and when you reach 10,000 hours, with previous 121 experience apply back with us for an FO position. :rotfl:

Those internships are nothing more than look at me, I interend for an airline I'll never work for. Sure i got some aweseome experience but it really didnt do me a whole lot.

Actually, with that internship they will give you the option to intern with Eagle or AA, so yes, if you went to the Eagle side that would very much help you get an interview with Eagle

Yup, guaranteed interview at Eagle with reduced minimums. It's up to you to get past the interview.

Also, one of the coolest experiences I've ever done. I mean where else do you get to jumpseat on a 757 and get a picture like this...

Well interning at AA might be a bad move if you want to work for them anytime soon. But interning for a major can be a big help. I know of a few guys that interned at CAL. After a few years flying for regionals got hired by CAL during there last hiring period.

I did the AA internship. I ended up interning with AE in their flight training department. I made a call to my former supervisor on a Thursday, and HR called the next Monday to setup an interview. Unfortunately, I went through all that to be told I didn't have enough flight time.

As for the internship, it was a great experience. The work is pretty typical intern stuff; making copies, sorting, filing, etc. It's only three months and you'll get college credit for it. Unpaid interns work four days a week and get to travel the other 3 days. I spent the summer traveling all across America. At the end of the internship we got several free world-wide passes. I was only able to use one (they expire), but managed business class to Belgium and back! Other perks included some Level-D sim time and a factory floor tour of Boeing (not the one the public gets).

If you do a forum search you'll find a lot more info from me and other former interns on here.
