AA Hiring

Baseless outsider speculation here, but I sort of wonder if they're testing mostly internals to see how they do and then if necessary bringing in some more externals.

Regardless, if there are indeed a few externals going in next week I hope they knock it out of the park (not that I'm saying that I hope the internals don't do well as well).

So there are a good portion of internals. A handful of wholly owned (external), and another handful of external.

I know the folks doing the selections and interviews and they have a very difficult job ahead of them. I am glad that they are looking at internals as well and externals for this round of hiring and I think everyone will get a fair chance at getting in. I imagine the testing process will make their job a little easier.

Just a word of advice for those that are coming in for an interview or those that want to get an interview here. Treat every interaction with AA employees as part of the process to get the job. While dispatch aptitude is important, we dont want someone that is going to be difficult to get along with. Nobody wants to spend three or four decades with an •.

There have been people that have already ruined their chances by forgetting that.

You can teach someone how to dispatch, but you can't teach personality.
