I sure hope most people arent like you. I really want to get along with my co-workers.....
i gave you nothing but the truth and and honest perspective of what may happen and it would appear you got your feelings hurt. I hope I don't have to work with you either.
Cool story. Don't work at compass so your comment is irrelevant. But please do go on, since you have all the answers.Just sharing information from the inside. Nothing more, nothing less compass. You would certainly classify as an axxhat. Doubt there will be compass hires if it were external.
Not all the answers, just similar ones to the other AA guy posting. We've been around AA a long time. We know how it works and you didn't want to hear it and it came down to name calling. I sure hope we don't go external. Because if this is all that is left after DL, SW and UAL has hired, we probably don't want you anyway. Obviously they didn't.
Most of FPS has prior dispatch experience. Many in other IOC departments do as well. Most likely enough to fill a class of 20 or so with the furlough re-calls. There might not even be a need to hire internals without experience given how many have prior dispatch experience.

QFT!If you want the job and you are qualified apply for it. The only person who is guaranteed not to get the job is the person that does not apply.

Why feel that it's a dirty word? It's part of life, for cryin' out loud! Just about everyone who has connections will USE them when needed. The way I see it, internal or external, is to just keep working hard, keep your knowledge up, remain persistent, make connections (though I almost feel dirty saying the word now), and apply to the postings. Sure, you may not get on this time, but the external/internal preference at certain airlines has been known to oscillate over time.
My connections, but most importantly my reputation, is what got me in. I busted my behind and became a valuable asset in my previous department. I won't apologize for that.
My class was 1/3 external, 1/3 envoy, and 1/3 internal and I think we've all turned out pretty well.
